Literature Text

"I'm sorry, I really have to go. I want to bring you with me. Are you okay with that?"
Summary: Lukas convinces the reader to go with him on a journey.
This is the sequel to Dragon's Friend (Faint Dragon!Norway x Reader #3).
Author's Note: This is probably the shortest chapter so far! I'm really sorry, guys. I'm adding in a lot of foreshadowing, if you haven't noticed. That's because the next few chapters will be big ones! 8D On a side note, it might get a tiny bit more lovey-dovey (nothing major because I don't even think I can do a kiss scene, lol!) later on, so if you're not into that I may make an alternate ending to this after the more romantic one is finished for people who don't like their fanfictions that way.

Entry #540
Year (year/num)

I don't think this new schedule with (y/n) is going to work out for much longer. It's been almost a month since it started. I need to find something to do. I'm thinking about taking a visit to City, but I'm not sure how that would work out. My last outing didn't go so well. Then again, my other visits went great.

Part of me doesn't want to go only because of the risk of them getting hurt. Usually I could care less, but with a human like (y/n) to watch over, I can't be so far away from them.

I've also been trying to write this in my journal for a while but have always been interrupted: Maybe (y/n) is the one that can-

The dragon froze the second he noticed the jewel beside his table, and leapt out of his cave to go fly instantaneously.

:iconstardivider1plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider3plz:

After an exhausting week of (school/work), you were prepared to open your front door and pass out on the couch. You were not prepared for a dragon to come swooping down, pick you up, and start sailing off again.

"L-Lukas?! W-What are you doing?!"

You began to struggle.

"Relax. I'm just taking you to our spot by the park. I need to talk to you about something."

"C-couldn't you think of a more...h-humane way to do t-that? Like, not have me d-dangling in midair?"

The dragon pondered your question. "Yes, I do suppose that would have been better."

You sighed. "So do you mind fixing things?"

"We're already here. It's too late for that."

Lukas gently set you down and softly glided toward his own landing space.

"So, what exactly was it that you needed to talk to me about, Lukas?"

:iconstardivider1plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider3plz:

"You what?!" You exclaimed, shocked.

"I'm sorry, I really have to go. I want to bring you with me. Are you okay with that?"

Taken aback, you couldn't find the words to respond. The dragon wanted to take you away from home to spend a week with him in a magical city so that he could collect books about magic?

"Why do you need new books about magic?"

"I ran out of old ones," he replied. You were suspicious of this answer.

"When?" You demanded.

The dragon refused to meet your gaze, though his face remained neutral. "A couple years ago..."

"Isn't it a little sudden that after years without new books to read you only go to look for them now?"

"I really don't see why you're being so difficult about this. City is an amazing place. You would love it."

You sighed. "When exactly would we be going to this 'City' place?"

"You said you have a week off from school coming up, right? I thought maybe you could come along with me then."

"Christmas break?! Lukas, that's a time for me to spend with my family and friends! I can't just leave everyone else in my life behind to go with you on some silly adventure!"

"(y/n), listen." You looked at his face and were taken aback when you saw sincerity in his eyes; he had never expressed so much emotion so openly to you before in the few months you'd known him.

"I understand that you would rather be spending your time with your family. I really, really want to spend the time with you, though. There are a lot of things that I need to know as soon as possible, and I won't be able to protect you while I am gone. I don't want something bad to happen to you. Please just tell your family that you are going to be spending the week with a friend and go with me."

L-Lukas...

"Alright, Lukas. I'll go. But only on one condition..."

"And what condition is that?"

"We go home as quickly as we possibly can. We don't waste any time."

"It's a deal. I will pick you up Sunday evening."

You only hoped that he wasn't being literal.

:iconstardivider1plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider2plz::iconstardivider3plz:

Somewhere, though nowhere near Lukas, (y/n), or their destination, a group of three boys were gazing solemnly into a fireplace.

I hope that they're the one.

The smallest of the boys was crying, though not the sobbing kind that involved making lots of noise and burying your face into the nearest pillow.

I really want to meet up with them again.

The tears that slowly streamed from his eyes were, instead, the tears of long suffering, of a scar that never healed.

They miss me just as much as I miss them.

One of the boys standing next to the first was sniffling, and it was obvious that he was holding back his own tears.

I promise...I'm trying.

The third boy's hand was placed on the second's shoulder, and the second wrapped his arms around the first and shoved both of them into the chest of the third.

I really, really hope my plans will work...

The first two began to bawl, no longer able to restrain themselves, and all three were tightly hugging one another.

Because if they aren't the one...

Their crying was beginning to reduce to sniffling and soft whimpers once again.

...I'm not sure how much longer they, or I, will be able to last.

Entry #547
Year (year/num)

Tomorrow, I will be able to go to City with (y/n). I will be taking this journal with me to document what happens. Along with it, I will be bringing a few of my emergency spell cards, some money, some goods to sell in case my currency is outdated, my Descryball, and it.

Until my questions are answered, or more questions are to be asked,

-Lukas

Epilogue:

"Y'know, wizards are always so unpredictable."

"Tell me about it. I can't believe that our fluffy reptilian needs this pitiful creature."

"Yeah. At least she's never touched fairy blood."

"Speak for yourself!"

"Hn, well, it is quite nice that she's never touched troll blood, too. I would feel bad watching her slowly die from the agony of looking at your face."

"Excuse me?! What did you just say about me?! As if being able to see a fairy would be any better!"

"ENOUGH! Shut up, both of you! We should be getting back to our master, not having immature arguments! Now let's go before I cast a spell on you two that will turn you both to a pile of dust!"

"Y-yes, sir!"

Not much to say about this one. Sorry for it being so concise. This story has been moving along by dialogue a lot lately. There hasn't been much room for extra description.

I have a feeling the three boys are Tino, Emil, and Berwald...
